Yeah that is true. But they should also bear in mind....
Every card in the game can be a competitive deck. It is is still the players strategy how to makr the deck work.
We have an age division for tournaments and even in mini-tournaments even in league play if we want to if there are many kids. Not all kids have the great ability to make advanced strategies on a higher level in a very young age. I always love kids who talk about there decks no matter how simple it is strategy wise.

bout the yugi.. it's also easy to determine the fake ones from the not.. this may not be related to this topic, but i just want to mention that fake yugi cards are lighter (hue) compare to the original. The mark at the back of the card is very different. making it easy to compare.

Same goes for Pokemon cards, the cards also have a different texture and smell (I like to sniff my cards  ). |

haha! there's this text in a fake yugi card, "shake your elbows three times.. hit you opponent the number of elbows shaken.. " hahaha! so stupid.. my classmate explains it probably meant, play rock,paper and scissors for three rounds.. but I dont really get the hit part.. violent!? haha! |
