1.2k is seriously way too much. From 1k to 1.2k They better give me a good reason or I might not play on November 5 and just be there in the sides taking pictures.

You could ask why. But I'm also researchong within POP the reason. But I have a good hunch on this one.

alam ko dati na ganyan ang systema prof pero di nasusunod d2 lalo na ang prizing system the award for winning major tourneys are booster boxes sa ibang bansa not only due to many participants but with accordance with POP. so i highly doubt a change in the prize structure
grabe ha nung una nabawasan ng 1 round (dati kc 5 rounds eh) ngaun a prize increase? i do hope there's a very good explanation

Mam Des answered my PM about the increase. POP has now placed extra charges on the materials and prizes unlike before that the only booster boxes are charged.
This was also a similar concern to the City Championships and other future pre-releases.

so, does that mean we get 6 boosters for the event, Deckbox/card, pin and 2 more boosters after (even if theres no wins) ? total of 8 boosters in the whole event (plus winnings)?? O.......o or is it 2 boosters per win?? O...o

I will not guaranttee that. But what is sure is the one booster per win. Hopefully the number of rounds will increase though.

does this ruling are applied to us? if this ruling is happening already on those pre-releases how come we does' not recieve two more additional boosters in completing the event? a little bit confusing its been a long time since we had been informed about this one how come we were not experiencing these for those moment? hmmmmm betchie by gollie why? hehehe
I dunno also, do we need to inform the AUTHORITIES about this one or better leave it to the concern of our doubt? hehehe but I will make a lucky guess the booster box apparently must be received by the champion last pre-release? make a guess again.. and how come all those things that everyone saying was not felt by the former champion? hmmmmmmmmmm..
hahaha... anyways I rather experience this event rather playing pokemon for nothing..
DI ba?

I'm defending anyone here. But based from the POP site. After knowing the facts I have somewhat incorrectly interpreted this:
"What are the prizes?
All participants will receive a Pokémon TCG: EX Dragon Frontiers Prerelease promo card and an EX Dragon Frontiers pin, while supplies last.
In addition, all players who complete the event will receive 2 additional booster packs of EX Dragon Frontiers."
Actually we never followed this and we applied the one booster per round win rule which is unique to other pre-releases in terms of prize structure and pre-releases are no longer under premiere tournaments (no ranking points will be awarded here).
Right there and then pre-releases are only FUN tournaments. Just to get to see the new cards and new boosters depeneding the prize structure. Nothing more.
I think all of us are feeling this "resistant to change" stage. But there are factors that we cannot control and say words we often give opinions about it.

and besides prof.. anu po ung ibig sabihin ng completing the event? is it from starting the event from the start up to the end? this is based my undestanding ha and i have no idea about this one...
and about the two more additional boosters by completing this event, does it mean our pre-release are much more having an advantage as a player by one extra booster per win?
if so, i feel the essence already...
one thing, more the increase are truly hard to accept... and like I always say, I rather cope up with this one rather than do not have any official event of pokemon in the country..
"quick change, quick reactions and a must have quick answers."
@micael - also notice the peso-dollar relationship, how about the the transpo fee rollback? ahhhhhhhhhhhhh... makes me sick

Actually if the increase just "over-ate" the appreciation of our currency...wala rin at tumaas din. Upon looking on the the other pre-releases internationally, nagtaasan din bigla. From 20 to 24 Canadian dollars, Mexico had increased as well from 20-40 Mexican Pesos (of couse shipment wise they are closer so consider a varied shipment rate). For asking another primere tournament we could ask for a City Championship since November-April is City Championship season. After this pre-release, the next one (The Diamond and Pearl Set)will be on April-May na. My only wish is that we have another league leader's meeting on Christmas to sit down and discuss on future tournaments and concerns (sana sa Friday's ulit like last time ;D) .
