You can't view the Pokemon board if you are not logged in that's why Jariel cut it of. Please do join the Neutral Grounds forum but I'm going to post the message here anyway. "I would like to suggest an unlimited tourney to welcome old players to the game. there are more and more old players that are slowly returning to the game and what better way to welcome them with a tournament with the cards they are familiar with. I also know that most of the active players now also have old cards. What do u think guys?" Posted by Jariel on the Neutral Grounds Forums. I have posted my comment on your suggestion

Well unlimited is good for 2 reasons. One, for people who just returned to the Poke scene it removes the hassle of buying new cards. Two, interesting outcomes. Have you ever wondered which cards are better? Old School vs. The All New and Improved Pokemon TCG.

I will post my reply on the post I had in the NG forums.
"It's OK. As long it does not hurt the sales of the boosters of the new sets and would not reiterate leagues to go unlimited for one session and up to [sic] whole season.
In one aspect, this could bring the old players go back and hopefully if they do they [sic] must follow and adjust to the modified format as most players and newbies do."

Have you ever wondered which cards are better? Old School vs. The All New and Improved Pokemon TCG. Let this be a one time event. With regards Old School vs the New Cards... it depends on what card rulling you'll follow. If you play on the play and card rules on when that card was new then Old School might tackle on the new cards. It's good to have new cards I also made a post at NG Forums: Posted: Mon Aug 21, 2006 10:17 am Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I must admit I don't have a pretty neat deck built with my old cards but it sure sounds like a good way to bring back the old players into the game. Quote: It's OK. As long it does not hurt the sales of the boosters of the new sets and would not reiterate leagues to go unlimited for one session and one whole season. Agree. Posted: Mon Aug 21, 2006 3:48 pm Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We should really give it a try. Make it a one time big time. May mga aangal dyan sigurado at sasabihing "Sige na ganito nalang lagi". These request should be ignored since everyone in the league now is trying their best to follow the modified format. The old players should not be an exception. In my point of view this one time unlimited format is just to give them back that feel of the cards. If by playing again made them happy then I bet they would get themselves a legal deck. If not them that's up to them. Isa lang...

believe me i didnt play old school but i know enough to say that the new school cards dont stand against cards such as gust if wind, energy removal, super energy removal, unlimited use of trainer (due to the fact that trainers such as prof oak are not supporters), baby pokemon etc but in terms of damage new school gives more damage now what im excited to see is the mix of old and new cards ^^

Well... New cards actually (ex in particular) have well... alot of advantages. More damage, Better Attacks, Cooler Names (No reason). But in the end it's all up to you. You might say that there is an advantage in one sense but in another the latter will win. So it all depends on what you're comparing and how you are going to do it.
