The Venusaur in CG is quite good. Chlorophyll pokebody can make boost energy provide three grass energy than three colorless energy which gives green blast more damage. Toxic Step will be good to defending pokemon with high-retreat costs and be comoboed either with ariados of UF, Misdreavous of LM (deep sleep) and Swalot CG.

Where do you usually trade/buy pokemon-EX?? I cant seem to find one... I cant find stores that sell (decent) Single Cards...

Hi newbie pokemon trainer's dad here, im trying to look for boosters/starters sa manila/makati area pero wala ako makita...am thinking of importing na lang (and maybe help other trainers find boosters starters tin sets etc). any suggestions (local locations/prices) guys? thank you in advance.

Manila/Makati?? Hmm tried SM Megamall or Robinsons Galleria?? They have stores like Neutral Grounds, Filbars, Comic Alley that sell Boosters and Theme Decks... (comic alley not recomended...) Other Comic/Hobby stores sell them too... |

I think importing is fast but very costy, hmmmmm!!! as of now booster packs are unavailable this is due to the unexpected numbers of new trainers inside the tcg. however independent card sellers excluding Neutral Grounds maybe still have some booster packs, try to look for this shops; Filbars Courtside Comic Alley Comic Quest Toy Town Toy kingdom this is upon my observation whenever i drop by, they have booster packs  as a helpful tips buy booster packs from this expansions: Deoxys Emerald Unseen Forces Delta Species Legend Maker Holon Phantoms and the newest Crystal Guardians this is the new modified format that is allowable in any kind of pokemon event. BTW, there will be a pre-release on August 27 at the PODIUM behind MEgamall, entrance fee is only 1000php, after payment on that day you will receive 6 booster packs as your source of a 40 card deck. if you have more questions just post it. |

hehehe my kid is only 8 years old (pero we even play hero clix together na) pero baka ill try to bring him sometime hehe thanks for the very very helpful tips...
for imports, based on the total cost it would smaller than when bibili ako at 200+ per booster.add to that the ability to get sets (or special tins sets) by box na wala dito....hay. last resort ko na ito. hehe thanks again.

Neutral Grounds sell boosters for Php180... Decks are around Php650-750 I think...

ill try to shop around, problem is mejo tight schedule ko. it would be good if i found a box of boosters sa NG. thanks. stores i called e wala na starters, or wala na boosters.
pero baka nga dahil sa recent tourneys kaya naubos. baka magrestock ulit once the new set hits. sana. thanks again

The set of Crystal Guardians will be (hopefully) released on the first or second week of September.
Before I was in Pasay, I usually go to Stop and Buy in Cartimar. But I don't know what set is left on selling. That last thing I heard it Delta Species. Filbars in Glorietta had singles for sale.
The other one I know is Greenhills. Courtside stores as well.
And of course, the league leaders.

It is one-two weeks after the pre-release. But who knows, since the pre-release of the U.S. started very early, we might (hopefully) get them earlier.

Give Venusaur a chance man... In truth Charizard may be powerful but the energy cost is simply SCARY TO EVEN THINK OF!! I was referring to the ACTUAL POKEMON, not the cards. I'm not disregarding Venusaur. Heck, I'm not even sure what deck I'm going to make yet. I still have some problem with the Expansion symbols, so I made a mistake of thinking that Venusaur EX would be include in the new rotation. Since CG would be the newest set, I'm thinking of getting my main poke' from that set. To tell you the truth, the only exposure I ever had with the TCG was the Gameboy Color game. I also understand the way Charizard eats energies. Most likely, I'll go with a Precon deck. Venusaur would be great considering that from all the TCG's I've tried, I have the greatest chance of winning in a fast, "sligh"-type deck. So for a change, I'm thinking of making a deck with a lot of Status inducing attacks or a stall deck.  |

No Problem Man, and alot of Stat Busting Attacks are dangerous (esp if your working on poke-body and poke-power type pokemon) and I was just tired of hearing people say Charizard IS THE BEST NO ONE CAN BEAT MY whatever EDITION CHARIZARD!!

The Chlorophyll Poke-Power/Body (Im not too sure) will certainly be something to consider at next years Nationals. Im actually thinking of making a deck based on Venusaur CG. What do you think prof? |
