Could you tell me how to make a better deck? There many pokemon-tcg related sites on how to start a deck. But everything starts with a themedeck and your preferred pokemon and strategy. When you a have thought of a themedeck, start from there and you could get the extra cards from trade, league play and in tournaments. Be reminded there a lot of combos and strategies that are made now a days. Furthermore, the game is more pokemon centered than trainer centered. So even the simpliest trainer cards are important. You can also check some decks that are presented in the internet. Most of all is familiarize your deck. Remember the deck does not make a great player. It is the skill of the player (and luck ;D) that makes you win.

I would suggest that you choose two types, kung anu sa tingin mo yung pinakamalakas. then go for that. yun ang tunituro ko sa mga younger players ko. it actually works. hahaha. anyway, usually ang advice is dapat balanced daw i.e. 20-20-20. reaction ko is ok yung 20 pokemon kasama evo. lesser if marami basic. 20 energies, for me is overkill especially if mono type ka lang or 2 colors. instead on putting more energies, i would suggest of putting more drawing trainers or energy search trainers or cards that retrieve energies and pokemon from the discard pile or deck. ratio ng deck ko is 22 pokemon- 12 energy - 26 trainers.

hmmm...Just an add on to what Steel said "it's good to put 2 types of pokemon." Yup thats good but it would be BETTER if you put the weekness of each other in the deck. Example fire and grass. Thunder and Rock/Fighting (there are some disputes over the type but they are technically fighting)

exactly. you should put pokemon so that their types compliment each other or support each other. but if you're going fo a monotype deck, at least put some colorless pokemon on it so that when there\s a deck that is simply anti- your deck, you wouldnt have a problem.

True and it is good to play test your deck against the current favorites (PM Pokeprof for the list ) everyone in a while. You really get to see the faults and strengths of your deck

you also have to test ung pagka stable nya. because if you're building a tourney type deck, kailangan, all your draws should be stable. meaning, bihira ka lang ma-bad draw sa opening hand or if bad draw ka man, makabawi ka easily.

The Pokebeach Tutorial is quite down to earth and very simple to understand. But once again these are only guides. These should not limit you in making your decks.

its not easy to create a deck for new players i usually try to help them build their deck then when they get a feel of the game thats the time that i give them the deck fine tuning tips. I strongly suggest you do the same ask assistance from more experience players such as league leaders to help you build a deck out of the theme decks. when u get more experience from playing the game thats the right time to build your own deck. I easily learned how to build a deck from friends who are more experienced than me and reading lots of deck building articles
maybe u cud post all the theme decks you bought so i could help you build your a little ^^
